BSA Kodiak Challenge 2023

Planning meeting 9/23

The rarely offered BSA Kodiak Challenge is being offered by the Mecklenburg County Council this fall. Kodiak is an application of the leadership training and skills you have learned in the Introduction to Leadership Skills for Troops (ILST), S.E.A.L.S. and Top Gun / NYLT, and you need to have completed Top Gun prior to applying for Kodiak. This course is will encourage you to try new things that may be out of your comfort zone – a Scouting adventure that pushes the boundaries of every participant. This is not a troop activity.

If you choose to join the 2023 BSA Kodiak event, please bring the following to the planning meeting:
A, B & C Medical Form
Code of Conduct Form
Arrive in Class A
Please plan to bring your own lunch. Snacks will be provided.
Bring your ideas for Fall High Adventure Weekends and locations.

Participants who attend all three sessions will receive the Kodiak Challenge Medal, and Kodiak Claw necklace. 

Course Dates:

Planning Meeting: September 23rd

Weekend One: October 20th- October 22nd, 

Weekend Two: November 3rd-5th
