Kings Mountain Camping Trip Information

Here are details for our first camping trip for the new scout year.  Dated of trip will be Friday Oct 6, leave approximately 5:30 p.m. to Sunday Oct 8.

Location:  Kings Mountain State Park (Camping) and Kings Mountain National Military Park (Day/Night visits)

Dates:  October 4 through October 6

Activities:  Camping trip with visits to Kings Mountain National Battlefield Park camp reenactment. Actors will be on site to commemorate the Battle of Kings Mountain (actual dated October 7) with cooking, leatherwork, musket firing, and youth marching drills.  We also plan to reserve spots for a candlelight tour of the battlefield on Saturday night.  May include hike from Kings Mtn. State Park to Kings Mtn. National Military Park on Saturday October 5.  Outdoor skills opportunities for scouts needing sign-offs.

RSVP:  Please send an email to Mr. Reeves (jreeves@smeinc.com) if you are interested in attending.  Sign-ups will also be available on Troopmaster website.  Trip is currently limited to 18 (scouts and leaders) with 3 campsites (6 per campsite) reserved with first come first served reservation, but can be increased if enough interest.

RSVP Cutoff:  Request that you RSVP as soon as possible with cutoff on Thursday, September 26.
