Summer Camp Information:
- Parent Information meeting concerning Summer Camp 2014 – Scheduled for Tuesday, July 8th at 7pm at Harrison UMC – 2nd Floor – Multi-purpose room.
In looking over the Troops medical records it has come to our attention that almost everyone’s medical forms are out of date. Everyone in the Troop including all adults must have Parts A and B filled out before being allowed to go on any trips or functions with the Troop. Scouts and Adults heading to Summer Camp for any length of time in a couple of weeks, must fill out parts A, B, and C. Part C requires a doctors signature and physical to be completed. If you are attending Summer Camp this has to be handled quickly or by Sunday, July 20th before the Troop departs for camp. Camp will not accept anyone without these three forms completed (Parts A, B, and C) plus a copy of your insurance cards if you have them. These forms can be found at the Troops website under “ABOUT” and the click on “DOCUMENTS”.
Summer Camp Dates:
Tuesday, July 8th – Parent Information Meeting – 7pm
Saturday, July 19th – Loading Gear onto the Trailer – 7pm (personal gear for Summer Camp, fishing rods, etc) – Form collection will also happen at this time.
Sunday, July 20th – Meet at 7:30am – Final Health Inspection – Final Paperwork collection – Depart for Camp as soon as completed.
Upcoming Trips:
August 15th – 17th – VA Creeper – Damascus VA – 15 mile bike trip (mostly all downhill) – If you are planning on attending this trip, please email the Scoutmaster at jlane@selighting.us. Last Day to register for this trip is Monday, July 28th by 8pm. No late registrations will be taken.
September 19th – 21st – Canopy Tour – Zip-lining – Location TBD – There may be a small fee for this one based on the number of attendees. If you are planning on attending this trip, please email the Scoutmaster at jlane@selighting.us. Last Day to register for this trip is Monday, August 25th by 8pm. No late registrations will be taken.
October 10th – 12th – Backpacking on the Appalachian Trail – Location TBD – If you are planning on attending this trip, please email the Scoutmaster. Last Day to register for this trip is Monday, September 22nd by 8pm. No late registrations will be taken.
November 14th – 16th – Caving Trip – Location TBD – If you are planning on attending this trip, please email the Scoutmaster. Last day to register for this trip is Monday, October 27th by 8pm. No late registrations will be taken.
