Operation Christmas Child
For those needing community service hours, the troop has registered with Operation Christmas Child to pack and check boxes, or perform similar tasks as directed by the organization.
Date: Saturday, December 3rd
Time: 7 to 10 p.m.
Where: Samaritans Purse processing center, 7100 Forest Point Blvd, Charlotte NC 28217
Details:
- Participants must be 13 or older as of December 3rd
- Transportation to and from processing center must be supplied by parent or guardian – arrive by 6:30 p.m.
- Online waiver forms must be signed by all participants (parents must sign for minor children)
- Participation is limited to scouts at the present time so they can earn their hours and adult leaders for chaperoning. If there are slots available in the near future, it will be opened up to parents as well.
- With the exception of a small break, you will be standing for the entire project. Please wear comfortable closed toe sneakers or shoes. Due to Federal OSHA regulations, NO sandals or open toe shoes allowed.
