Matthews Alive Survey

As most of you know, for the past 20 years or so our troop has been working Matthew’s Alive during the Labor Day weekend holiday. This fundraiser has been extremely profitable in past years, however was unfortunately cancelled last year due to COVID.

We have received contact from the organizers with regards to this year’s event. As of today, they have not made any firm committments on holding the event, however they are in the planning stages of restructuring how the event is presented. If restrictions permit the event will be held, but on a much smaller scale and with less booths whereby people come into contact with one another (for example, an inflatable bounce house). While they have not offered the nature of the restructuring, they have asked us for our thoughts on whether we would participate if it is a go. Also note that they have indicated that due to less booths, there would be less opportunity to accomodate all non-profit organizations.

Please take a moment to fill out the attached survey specific to our troop. Your responses will help determine whether we proceed with participation or pass on the opportunity. It is a difficult decision to end our partnership with the event or stay as participants, so this survery will give troop leadership some insight on parent’s thoughts and concerns. Thanks!
