Troop News

Regular Troop Meetings resume tonight beginning at 7pm – 8:30pm. Class “A” uniform.

The Troop is attempting to go skiing at Winterplace WV on Monday, January 18th, 2010. The cost is $85 per person which includes transportation to and from (charter bus), lift tickets, rentals, lessons and lunch for the day. TONIGHT is the final night to sign up and turn in your money. In order to do this trip, we have to fill the bus up to cover our costs. At current time, we only have 8 people signed up to go so far and the bus holds 49 passengers. If we do not get the required numbers the Troop will not be chartering the bus and each individual will need to arrange transportation for themselves. We can still arrange the special ski rate thru council office for $55 per person. Please see John Skelton or Joe Lane tonight to register and turn in your money.

Parents Meeting will be on Monday, January 11th, 2010 beginning at 7pm. We will be covering the calendar for the year (Jan-Dec), new policies, dues, Summer Camp information, High Adventure programs at Summer Camp, and the 2011 High Adventure Trip to Florida Seabase. If you are interested in the Seabase trip, we will meet with those interested or want to find out more immediately following the parents meeting.

Summer Camp 2010 will be held at Camp Powhattan in Virginia on Sunday, July 18th – Saturday, July 24th. Total cost per scout will be $255 per scout and if you want to do a high adventure program at Summer Camp it will cost $295 per scout. Deposits will be due on the following dates:

Dues – Please see Melody Lee to get your dues covered. Remember until these are cleared up, you not be able to travel with the Troop but only attend meetings.

Merit Badge College registration is still being taken. If you haven’t signed up for the MB college please see Michele Jones or your Patrol Advisor. The MB College will be held on Saturday, January 30th beginning at 9am. Pre-registration is required and the fee is $20 per Scout.
